As a college student, there is limited money to spend and a lot of places to spend it. This is a time in life to dig out all of the old coupons, search for discount codes everywhere, and acquire as many things as possible for free.
I am not going to promise that you will find things for free on this post, but when you need to save some money, here are some convenient savings just for being a student.
UNiDAYS
If you do not have an account with UNiDAYS, I would recommend doing that right now. UNiDAYS is a site FULL of discounts and coupon codes just for students. It is free to sign up, and all you need to do is verify that you are actually a student. It is a super simple process and then opens you up to a variety of different savings opportunities.
Some of the most notable ones for me are 15% off at H&M, 20% off at American Eagle, 20% off at Aerie, 15% off at Kate Spade, 21% off at NutriBullet, and so many more.
Banana Republic
When you are ready to spice up your wardrobe with clothes that are a little more expensive, Banana Republic has your back. They give 15% off a full-price purchase for all students and teachers. The only catch is that this can only be done in-store and you need to show a valid student I.D.
Converse
With 15% off of online orders, this is a discount that you do not want to miss. Converse makes it incredibly easy to verify that you are a student, so you can get to shopping on a budget.
There are the current shoes that I am eyeing up…
FedEx
A little less fun, but a lot more practical is this 20-30% discount at FedEx on shipping. All you have to do is present your student I.D. in-store when you drop off something that needs to be shipped.
I know that college students are not necessarily shipping a lot of things these days, but it is nice to have such a large discount option if you ever need it.
L.L. Bean
Another way to verify your student status is through SheerID, which is what L.L. Bean uses to give students and teachers 10% off select products. It is not the highest discount, and it is a little more limited than other stores, but the discount is still there to save you a little money when you need it.
Here are some L.L. Bean products that I currently have in my cart…
Levi’s
This is one that I am so excited about because I always can go for some new Levi’s and the discount is amazing. They are giving 25% off all apparel to reward students for their hard work.
They are another brand that verifies through SheerID, which creates a simple process for ensuring your student status.
Madewell
As a college student, Madewell is one of those stores that my friends and I go in for outfit inspiration and return with nothing purchases. I absolutely love Madewell, so a 15% discount for students and teachers may encourage me to purchase more than I just window shop.
This one can be used in store with an I.D. or checked online through SheerID
Nike
An absolute classic brand that could not be missed is Nike. They offer a 10% student discount, but only online and through their app. This one can also only be used every 30 days, so purchase wisely!
Outdoor Voices
This is a student discount that is really excited to me because a lot of their items are so comfortable and versatile. Outdoor Voices offers a 20% discount on all products.
To use it, you have to create an account with Student Beans, which has a similar concept to UNiDAYS.
Student Beans
I had never heard of this site before, but it continued to pop up throughout my research. Student Beans is a site that connects students to large retailers with discounts. What this means for you is simply discounts for being a student.
Discounts that can be found on Student Beans include Forever 21, Hunter, KEEN, Lulu’s, Princess Polly, & others.
Vera Bradley
This iconically patterned brand is offering 15% off of any items for college students, teachers, first responders, medical professionals, and military personnel who can show I.D. This is offered only online at verabradley.com
As a takeaway from all of this, the next time that you consider shopping, stop to look up “(FILL IN STORE) Student Discount” because there are so many offers out there to help save a few bucks here and there.
